Patricia Kelly Mansfield, 89, of Powell was called home by the Lord, Sept. 15, 2017. Born August 6, 1928 in Wolfpit, KY; she was the daughter of Russell V. and Claire (Preston) Kelly. Pat was a lifelong Southern Baptist who served in many ways at both North Linden Baptist Church and Maize Rd. Baptist Church. Pat retired from the Columbus City Schools, after serving as a school secretary at both Northland High School and Woodward Park Middle School. In retirement, Pat authored the book "Growing up
on the Big Sandy", explored her artistic side through oil painting and enjoyed working in her herb garden. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Richard T. Mansfield, grandson Jason, and brother Russell. Survived by her children Mark (Sheila) Mansfield, Claudia (William) Jones, Bruce (Gloria) Mansfield and Beth (Benjamin) Halla; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM, Tuesday, Sept. 19 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St. Worthington, Ohio and Wednesday 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am. Rev. Dan Lambert officiating. Interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kobacker House.
