Patricia Brown Vesper, age 64, passed away from complications of Alzheimer's on February 14, 2018. Born April 27, 1953 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Patty graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1971 and received a BS in Occupational Therapy from Ohio State University. The highlight of her career in occupational therapy was her services at Riverside Methodist Hospital where she served as Director of Occupational Therapy for 21 years. She later became the practice manager at Avery Animal Hospital where she worked until the time of her diagnosis. Patty was a long time member of First Community Church, where she served on the Governing Board, Early Childhood Council, Akita Council, Youth Council, and chaired the 50th Anniversary Celebration committee for Camp Akita. She also volunteered in the community with Pleasure Guild and for the Childhood League Center. Patty loved playing tennis weekly with her friends. She loved water and cherished family time in Northern Michigan and at Lake Choctaw. She was an avid piano player and music continued to mean the world to her even long after her diagnosis. Patty will be remembered as a cherished daughter and sister, loving and selfless mother and grandmother, beloved wife, talented therapist and wonderful friend. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Richard Vesper; and children, Tricia Collins (Rustin Nail), Dr. Kelsey Walker (Scott) and Kyle Vesper; mother, Pat Brown; and grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Maveric, Ella and Wyatt; sister, Sue Richards (Steve); and brother, Rick Brown (Jeanie); and many loved nieces and nephews. She preceded in death by father Charles Brown and brother Larry Brown. Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. on Thursday, March 22, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 23, at 3 pm at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd. The family wishes to thank The Ganzhorn Suites in Powell, Ohio for their loving care the past 18 months.
