1942 - 2018
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ralph "Peter" Weimerskirch, who passed away Friday, February 23 at Sun City Center Hospice House in Ruskin, FL. Pete was born in Fostoria, OH on 12/27/1942. Pete was always a kind, generous soul who loved to live life. Over the years you could catch him driving his fire truck loaded with friends, serving drinks at his bar, selling clothes at his clothing store, or selling cars. Pete loved boating on Lake Erie, and had a special place in his heart for Put-in-Bay. He owned several boats from the WHATEVER to the FOR PETE'S SAKE. Pete is survived by his children, Elizabeth Whetstone (Jay), Meggin Weimerskirch (Mick McCabe), Shannon Weimerskirch (Theresa); grandchildren, Harrison and Reed Whetstone, Alex Hoke (Camila), Hanna and Grayson Weimerskirch; sisters, Julie Kavanagh, Karen Matthews; brothers, Jim (Claudia), Steve (Marianne), Tim (Jacquie), Gary (Betsy Hancock); sister-in-law, Jenny Weimerskirch; a boatload of nieces and nephews, and a couple of ex-wives. Pete is preceded in death by his parents Helen and Ralph Weimerskirch, and his brother David. A celebratory mass will be held on Saturday, March 10, 10am at Sacred Heart, 893 Hamlet Street, Columbus, OH 43201. Pete was a huge dog lover, and donations can be made to Pets Without Parents, petswithoutparents.net.
