Robert Frohnauer Obituary
Frohnauer, Robert
1951 - 2017
Robert Anthony Frohnauer, April 5, 1951 – November 22, 2017. It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Frohnauer, Chesnee, announce his passing on November 22, 2017 at the age of 66. He leaves behind his loving wife, Jerri; his children, Tracy (Bryan) Adair and Ryan Jones. He was preceded in death by his son Anthony (Jennifer) Frohnauer, St. Louis, MO. Bob is survived by his mother, Kathleen Chamberlain; and 3 siblings, William (Mary) Frohnauer, Marci (late John) Drake, and Tari (Roger) Stewart of Ashville, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father Anthony Frohnauer and his sister Debbi (late Paul) Plumley. Bob was born and raised in the Columbus, Ohio area. He worked for UPS traveling to Florida, Arizona, and Missouri before retiring from UPS management in 2000. He and his wife retired to the Chesnee area to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren, Blayke (Blake) Adair Sellers and Skylyn Adair, and to live out his life-long dream of being a cowboy. For the past 16 years, Bob and his wife have owned Southern Comfort Farms where Bob has lived his dream of working with horses, sharing his love of horses with children and friends, breaking, breeding, and selling Missouri Foxtrotters. Bob enjoyed meeting new people, introducing them to his favorite breed of horse, and sharing his humor with everyone he met, but his greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. He is a loving son-in-law to Pat (late William Gruenloh) and Dale Fiala; the loving brother-in-law to Mike (Ana) Gruenloh, and Jackie Lynch. He is the loving Popaw to Anna, James, Dane, and Ryker Frohnaer (St. Louis, MO), and Eli Jones (Charleston, SC). And the great Papaw to Aiden and Wyatt Sellers (Boiling Springs, SC). He was a beloved uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Cooley Springs Baptist Church, 950 Martin Camp Road, Chesnee, SC 29323 with Dave DeLand officiating. Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to service. All friends are invited to Southern Comfort Farms, 7045 Parris Bridge Road, Chesnee, SC, for a celebration of life following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted and donated to Bob's favorite charity. Donations are asked to be made in the form of a check and made out to "Suntrust – Frohnauer".
