Obituary Condolences

Rhodeback Robert D. "Bob" Rhodeback, age 59, of Center Village, died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Kobacker House. Bob was a lifelong resident of the Galena area and a 1977 graduate of Big Walnut High School. Bob married his soulmate Julie, on July 4, 1991. His talent as a musician extended beyond that of his guitar playing. He also played drums and piano. Bob was a very skilled craftsman and could fix nearly anything, usually turning an object into something more beautiful than it was intended to be. He'd also restore boats and campers and resell them to folks in the area. Much of Bob's time spent was outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping. He also had a green thumb that he earned from time spent with his parents. In addition to his wife Julie, he will be missed by his siblings, Marge Lewis of Cape Coral, Florida, Dr. Charles (Carol) Ross of Pataskala, Dianna (Robert) Jaynes of Westerville, and Marcelia (Mark) Pheister of Pataskala; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Funeral service will be held there on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Bud Leskovac officiating. Burial will follow at Galena Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kobacker House at https://foundation.ohiohealth.com/programs/hospice-giving. The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home of Sunbury is honored to serve Robert's family. Special memories and condolences can be expressed to them at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com
