Ronald Butler Obituary
Butler, Ronald
Ronald "Ron" G. Butler, age 71, of Sunbury, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Tuesday morning at Bennington Glen. He was born on August 19, 1945 in Portsmouth to the late Robert L. and Grace (Scarbury) Butler. He was a 1963 graduate Big Walnut High School and a retired Plant Manager for Trus Joist in Delaware. Ron enjoyed fishing at his own pond and Rice Lake in Canada, hunting deer, rabbit, pheasant, and squirrel and reading books by Peter Capstick. Ron was a great storyteller and enjoyed telling them to whomever would listen. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing with his daughters and grandchildren, hunting with his grandson, family vacations to Disney and Epcot, playing catch his way with family which was if it did not come directly to him you had to go get it. This made everyone very accurate with their throwing. Ron was very proud of his family and his work career. He is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Donna (Jones) Butler and they were married November 29, 1974 in Lebanon, Virginia; daughters, Ronda Marie (Aaron) Hinkle of Woodstock, Wendy Lee Brown of Delaware; grandchildren, Brandon and Kevin Brown, Christopher and Justin Hinkle; sister, Mary Lee (John) Brown of Mars Hill, NC; nephews, Randy and Rob Brown; dedicated friend, Bill Piper. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow in the Trenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to: Heartland Hospice, 685 Delaware Ave., Marion, Ohio 43302 or , 471 East Broad Street, #1630, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
