Rosemary Malaska, 94, of Mansfield, passed away December 24, 2017 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Rosemary was born on July 17, 1923 in Mansfield to James and Josephine DiSanze Daley. She was a 1941 graduate of St. Peter High School and had been employed as a secretary at the Bissman Company for 18 years. Rosemary was a long time member of St. Peter Catholic Church and had volunteered many times at the church and school. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's Club and the K-Cets. Rosemary also enjoyed golfing in various golf leagues at Little Apple. Survivors include her children, Maureen (Dr. Michael) Hamilton of Huron, Michael (Sharon) O'Leary of Plymouth, MI and Tom Malaska of Worthington; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband James O'Leary, second husband Raymond Malaska, close friend Richard P Dalton; daughter-in-law Paula Malaska, nephew Steve Rath and four sisters and brothers-in-law Florence (John) Zeides, Joanne (Robert) Schnug, Rita (Thomas) Schnug and Eileen (Carl) Rath. Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Ave West, in Mansfield, on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45am Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 104 W. First Street, Mansfield with Fr. Austin Ammanniti officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Msgr. Dunn Foundation for Education or to the Sisters of St. Francis. www.herlihy-chambers.com
