Stephen Cincinat Obituary
Cincinat, Stephen
Stephen J. Cincinat II, age 48, of Columbus, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Ann's Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents Stephen J. I and Sharon Shock (Brown), grandparents Ernest and Lola Cincinat and grandmother Katherine Brown. Survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Marianne; children, Tiffany, Ray and Natasha; sister, Sonni (Jim) Carrick; nephews, Jimmy (Alysia) and Ryan; niece, Katie; and a host of friends. Stephen was a self-proclaimed sports officiando. He was a forever faithful fan of the Cleveland Browns, amongst his other beloved teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Columbus Blue Jackets and the Detroit Red Wings. Stephen was known amongst family and friends as The King of All Trivia. He was well versed in many categories and everyone always wanted him on their team. As a music lover, he enjoyed all genres…except the dreaded "country music category". He made everything a competition and had an everlasting competitive spirit. His family notes there are several family awards, such as a Belt and Trophy, that would get passed amongst the latest champions. He was a Fantasy Football Elitist and got a thrill from building the "perfect team". He was also known as a sharp-shooter of the dart world, winning many championships along the way. Stephen loved to golf and was considered an eternal novice after 20 years of hacking up the course. He never gave up though, as he was an eternal optimist and always saw life with "the glass half full". He had an infectious sense of humor and one couldn't help but smile when in his presence, especially if he had a dish of his famous lasagna to share. Most of all, Stephen was a beloved family man who lived life to the fullest and always on his own terms. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends from 1-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 5464 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214, where a Candlelit Ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m. to Celebrate Stephen's Life. Another Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at Auman Timbers Golf Course, 4120 St. Rt. 516 NW, Dover, OH 44622.
