Sox Steven Joseph Sox, 58, of Nashville, Tennessee, died early Tuesday morning, April 18, 2017 at the Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee. He was born January 7, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan to the late William and Jean (Bozek) Sox. Steven worked for Northfield Repair in Greensboro, North Carolina and attended St. Stephen's Catholic Community in Old Hickory, Tennessee and St. Mary Catholic Church in Delaware. He loved listening to music and was an avid reader. He enjoyed playing baseball and golf when able. He also enjoyed cheering on his beloved Michigan Wolverines "GO BLUE!" Left to cherish his memory are sons, Christopher (fiance', Stacey Hill) Sox of Daytona Beach, Florida and Wesley Sox of Michigan; daughters, Sydney and Stacey Sox of Michigan; stepchildren, Kellie Stonex of Michigan and Tyler (Rachel) Eckard of Washington; grandchildren, Gage, Colten, Zoey, Kalan and Khloe; brother, Craig Sox of Delaware; sisters, Rene (Doug) Vance of Delaware and Lisa (Gary) Cooper of Delaware; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the SNYDER RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William Street), Delaware. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William Street, Delaware with Rev. Fr. Michael Watson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The St. Mary Bereavement Committee will then host a luncheon in the Snyder Rodman Community Room following the burial. Contributions in Steven's memory may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society. The Snyder Rodman Funeral Center of Delaware is honored to serve the Sox family.
