Troy Howell Obituary
Howell, Troy
Troy Dale Howell, 46, beloved son, husband, father, brother, coach and friend to all, passed away in his home in Woodstock, GA on February 26, 2018. Troy grew up in Columbus, Ohio and played multiple sports through high school including basketball, baseball, lacrosse, track and field, and soccer. His love for soccer continued through college where he played for The Ohio State University Men's Varsity soccer team. It was during college where he found a passion for coaching as he was selected to be on the coaching staff for the Ohio State Buckeyes youth soccer camps. Troy continued his love of coaching after college as the head coach of Hilliard Weaver Middle School boys soccer team for 6 years leading them to 3 league championships. Troy was a VP of Sales for Medical Imaging Solutions in Woodstock, GA for 16 years. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and was especially grateful for the opportunity to coach his own sons just as his dad, Dale, had been a great coach and mentor to him and his twin brother growing up. He was especially passionate about encouraging the potential of every young athlete, which will be his lasting legacy. Troy is survived by his wife of 15 years, Aleisa; their sons, Zachary (11) and Jacob (10); his father, Dale of Decatur, AL; his twin brother, Trent (Tammi) of Decatur, AL; and his mother-in-law, Katharine Bugbee of Woodstock, GA. Troy was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Williams Howell and his grandparents John and Hilda Williams and Kermit and Marie Howell and his father-in-law Robert W. Bugbee. A celebration of Troy's life will be held at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Visitation with the family will be from 1-3 pm followed by a service at 3 pm. For those wishing to make a contribution in Troy's honor, a Troy Howell Memorial Fund has been established to support Jr. Chiefs Baseball; donations may be made in person at any Wells Fargo branch or online at GoFundMe.com. With his kindness and generosity, Troy taught us many things, but mostly he gave us a glimpse into the extraordinary beauty of the human heart. Troy was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. The family asks that you spend time with your children, take a walk on the beach with your loved ones and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond. That is what Troy would wish for you.
