Verna Hall Bulman, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Kobacker House surrounded by family. She was born on Aug. 12, 1925 to John Hall and Annie Mary Scott in Ashington, Northumberland, England. She attended Berea College in the class of 1947, majoring in business and married Lt. Warren Eugene Bulman, a classmate at Berea, May 31, 1945 at Sedalia AFB in Missouri. At the time of their marriage she was circulation manager for The Automotive News in Detroit, Michigan. She was active in the United Methodist Church, and most recently was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio, where she participated in women's circles and visitation of shut-ins, as well as a being a member of administrative boards and several committees. Verna was active in many civic groups, including being a member of a support group for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. She was active in the Whitehall, OH PTA, was a leader in the passing of school levies and was nominated for Columbus Woman of the Year in 1971. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Warren E. Bulman; son, Gary (Kathleen) Bulman; daughter, Linda (John) Iben; grandchildren, Joanna Iben, James Iben, Jennifer (Josh) Goodwin; and great grandchildren, Jackson, Jace, and Jianna Goodwin; sister, Brenda Hall Cole. Verna is preceded in death by parents John Hall and Annie Mary Scott, sister Annie Mary Gardner. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, from 1-5 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018.
