Gingerich Verna Marie (Hostetler) Gingerich, age 91, of Plain City, Ohio, entered peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 12, 2017. Born to Dan and Emma (Frey) Hostetler on June 18, 1925. She was married to Ora J. Gingerich on December 20, 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, and son Mark, in 2014. Surviving are four daughters and three sons, Emma (Monroe) Miller of Farmville, Virginia, Betty (Mark Jr.) Hostetler, Becky (Ron) Headings, Veronica (Randy) Mast, all of Plain City, Ohio, Paul and Marvin of Plain City, Ohio, and Sam (Cathie) of Conestoga, Pennsylvania; and daughter-in-law, Rhoda Gingerich, of Plain City, Ohio. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Hostetler of Sarasota, Florida; sisters, Katie Ann Kramer and Gertie Miller, both of Belle Center, Ohio and Martha Hostetler, of Plain City, Ohio. She was a faithful member of the Amish Church. Family will receive friends at United Bethel Mennonite Church, 11342 Lafayette-P.C. Road, Plain City, Ohio, on Sunday, May 14 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, May 15 at 10 a.m. at United Bethel, officiated by Ray Stutzman. Burial at Amish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loving Care Hospice.
