Obituary Condolences

Easterday Vickie Voeller Easterday, age 65, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away at her home in Dublin, Ohio on April 5, 2017. Vickie fought a long and courageous 14 year battle with cancer and is now in heaven watching over us all. She was born February 15, 1952 to the late Leon H. and Laura E. Voeller in Dublin, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brother William E. Voeller. She is survived by her husband of 43 years ,William Stephen; her son, William Christopher (Carolyn M.) Easterday; and her grandson, William Thomas Easterday, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her sisters, Francine (John) Shonkwiler, Lee Ann (Tom) Hadley; her nieces and nephews, Tracie Klinefelter and Johnny and Liz Shonkwiler, Laura and Madeline Hadley; and her great-nieces Lauren and Alli Klinefelter. Vickie was a member of the Dublin Community Church United Church of Christ for most of her life. Vickie graduated from The Ohio State University in 1974 with a B.A. in Communications. She was also an adjunct professor at Franklin University and was a member of the OSU Faculty Club. Vickie was a board member for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and spent countless hours volunteering in every capacity at the house. She also loved OSU Basketball and was a statistician for Coach Fred Taylor in the early 1970's. Vickie was part owner of Burkholder Flint & Associates where she was employed for 27 years as vice-president of account services. Vickie loved her work and took extremely good care of her clients and all of them became great friends. Vickie loved the beach and her trips to Hilton Head Island and South Georgia were some of the most memorable family times. Vickie loved life and family and we her family will always know that. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Dublin Community Church United Church of Christ at 81 W. Bridge St., Dublin, Ohio 43017 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow. Donations may be made to The Ronald McDonald Charities in Columbus, Ohio or The Dublin Community Church United Church of Christ.
