Obituary Condolences

Withers Virginia "Ginny" Doty Thrall Withers, age 78, died on Monday, March 6, 2017, in Columbus, OH, from complications of Parkinson's disease. The daughter of Alice Mealey and Richard Filler Thrall, she was an alumna of Worthington High School, and an honors graduate of Michigan State University, where she was inducted into Mortar Board national college senior honor society; and where she joined Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Ginny worked for the law firm of Gamble Hartshorn as a certified legal assistant until her retirement. A longtime resident of Upper Arlington, she is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter S. "Buck" Withers; their children, John S. (Tamara) of Columbus, Jennifer (Clint) Schneider of Plymouth, MN and Steve R. of the residence; as well as by grandchildren, Miles and Nelson Withers, and Casey and Nicholas Schneider. Also surviving is her sister, Nancy Thrall (Frank) Stroebel of Worthington, OH; and her sister-in-law, Linda Withers (Frank) Goodale of Camden, SC.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from at 4-6 p.m., with a service at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at RUTHERFORD CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio. Burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbus Chapter of the Parkinson's Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Suite 265, Columbus, OH 43231.
