Paddock Virginia F. Paddock, 91, widow of the late James W. Paddock and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at Southern Hills Hospital Las Vegas, Nevada on February 15, 2017. She is predeceased by parents Walter and Josephine Kempinski, brothers Walter and John, sister Irene Golick, first husband Robert T. Chorba. Lovingly remembered by her sons, Chris Chorba (Katy) and Roger Chorba (Mary Kay); step son, James W. Paddock II; step daughter, Patricia Mauritz (Ken); nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other extended family. Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 20, 1925, Virginia grew up in New Kensington, PA and graduated as a member of the National Honor Society from New Kensington High School in 1943. She relocated from Steubenville, Ohio to Columbus in 1972, where she worked as a secretary for Trustmark Insurance Company until retirement. "Ginny" enjoyed caring for her home, working in her flower garden, cooking for family, traveling and spending time with her husband, Jim. She was a faithful and devoted Catholic, known for her wonderful sense of humor and dedication to family. The burial service will take place at the Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, Ohio on June 10 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Calovini of Holy Family Church officiating. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Saint Timothy's Catholic Church, Columbus, Ohio on June 11 at the 12 noon Sunday Mass with Father Tim Hayes officiating. A short reception will follow.
