William David "Bud" O'Neal Obituary
O'Neal William David "Bud" O'Neal, 81, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 11, 2017. He was born April 6, 1935 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Phillip Joseph and Thelma Bessoline (Lewis) O'Neal; also preceded in death by his sister Mary Jean Goyda. While in high school, Bud met the love of his life, Mona Bennett, who accepted his hand in marriage on May 7, 1955. They were blessed with nearly 62 years of marriage. He retired from Endicott Johnson and truly enjoyed his "golden years".... gardening, playing euchre, and above all, spending time with his family, where he was affectionately known as Poppy. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mona; children, David (Karen) O'Neal, Janice (Doug) Woeste and Leann (Ralph) Marion; special niece, Barbara (Phil) Debski: and nephew, Robert Gottron; beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Marion, Stephanie (Jason) Case, Samantha O'Neal, Christopher Woeste, Elizabeth Woeste, Emily (Jon) Vanicek and Jacob O'Neal; great-grandson, Aiden Case; sisters, Carolyn Theodore, Phyllis Boller, Peggy Laver, Kathy (Dave) Weaver and Colleen Page; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230.
