William Bernard Hale, 93, of Bexley, Ohio, passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 25, 2018. He was preceded in death six months prior by his beloved wife Doris. They were high school sweethearts and shared a beautiful marriage of 71 years. Dad was born to the late Esther Barbara and William Bryan Hale. He attended Columbus South High School graduating in the class of 1943. After graduation he enlisted in the US Marine Corp. His father, brother, two sons and a nephew also served in the Marine Corp. Dad was a devoted grandfather and always had a joke or prank up his sleeves. He loved his dogs, Sandy, Shorty, Freddie and Lexis. His favorite color was YELLOW and enjoyed his sweets! You would always see him in a Yellow sweater or shirt wherever he went. Candy and Cookies were always present for all to enjoy. Dad was an avid Model Airplane Enthusiast, National Champion & Competitor traveling the US to compete at model meets. His aviation passion began as a teenager when his family opened a Hobby Shop in the south end of Columbus.
