William Hobensack Obituary
Hobensack, William
William "Bill" Hobensack, age 80, passed away July 22, 2017, surrounded by his family. Bill is predeceased by his parents Evert and Fannie Hobensack. He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Anne; siblings, Ronald (June) Hobensack and John Hobensack; children, Curt Hobensack and Cheryl (Red) Penley; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Brown and Brian Hartley; great-grandchildren, Maria, Samantha and Amy; as well as many loving extended family and friends. After Bill completed his formal education he served his country in the United States Army for a number of years. After he was honorably discharged from the Army he worked for many years at the Columbus Dispatch before a forced retirement in the mid 1980's due to health related issues. Bill had many loves in his life but above all he loved to spend time with his friends and family. It could be cheering on OSU or going to the local Jolly Pirate Donuts or White Castle for coffee with his friends. Bill was the president of the condo association and enjoyed walks around the neighborhood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to St. Jude Hospital, www.stjude.org. Friends may call Friday, July 28, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. with a funeral service to directly follow at 6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232.
