Kreager Roland Deeds Kreager, surrounded by love of family and friends, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at his home in Richmond, Indiana. Roland was born November 11, 1950, in Angola, Indiana. He was the son of Clyde and Ruth (Deeds) Kreager. Roland graduated from Hilliard (Ohio) High School, Ohio State University, and earned Masters of Arts and Divinity degrees from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. His life-long passion for social justice was manifested in volunteer and professional work throughout his life. After college graduation, Roland served with Quaker Volunteer Service in Indianapolis, Indiana. He went on to work for American Friends Service Committee, Freestore Foodbank in Cincinnati, Ohio and for other non-profit organizations serving poor and marginalized persons. From 1992 to 2011 Roland worked for a Quaker organization, Right Sharing of World Resources (RSWR). During his tenure with RSWR, he led the organization to become an independent non-profit with staff persons in the U.S., India, Kenya, and Sierra Leone. Through Roland's efforts toward economic justice thousands of women and families in the developing world were able to earn a more equitable income. For the last four years of Roland's career, prior to retirement, he was the Development Director of Over The Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH) in Cincinnati, OH. There he helped to raise funds for affordable housing. Roland lived his life in accordance with his Quaker values and served the Quaker community in numerous ways. Most recently he was the clerk of West Richmond Friends Meeting in Richmond, Indiana. An avid runner, a trumpet player, a man who loved working in the garden caring for his land or hiking in the woods, Roland was a man who loved life and brought much love to others. His primary passion and love was for his wife, step-children, granddaughters, and many friends. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Cindi Goslee; son, Chad Goslee (Daphne Gutierrez) of Brooklyn, New York; daughter, Katie Goslee (Laura Bogle) of Knoxville, Tennessee; granddaughters, Zada, Johanna, Willa, and Elliott; and sister, Charissa Kreager of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marla Kreager. A memorial service in the manner of Quakers will be held at West Richmond Friends Meeting, Richmond, Indiana on June 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by DOAN MILLS FUNERAL HOME, 790 National Road West, Richmond. At the outset I shocked to learn the demise of our beloved Mr. Roland Kreager and convey my heartfelt condolence to Cindi, Katie and family members, friends and colleagues. Mr. Roland was an excellent human being. He dedicated a span of his life time to bring RSWR as an independent organization which has been extending helping hand for empowerment and equality of poor women. I, as the Field Staff of RSWR in India, had a great opportunity to work under the guidance of Mr. Roland over period of 18 years. His guidance was very much useful for me to push through implementation of projects by RSWR's partners in India. Lord may rest his soul in peace.

I knew Roland as a General Secretary since 2001 and I met him first time at Tirupati- Andhra Pradesh, South India and he is the role model for promoting women empowerment and economic development of underprivileged women in developing countries. He initiated many innovative Training programmes for women and for NGO's in India.
I learned many good things from him and he shared many incidents in his life with me . He is a good friend to me as well as my family members too and he visited along with his wife Cindi to my home many times. Few months back I got an email regarding his health updates and I was happy towards his health. But his sudden death was shocking news to me and my family members.
My deepest condolences to Cindi and his family, friends and relatives, colleagues.

I knew Mr.Roland 10 years back when he, along with Mrs.Cindi Goslee, had visited a project granted by RSWR in downhill region of Kodaikanal Hills, Tamilnadu India. His hard work and sacrifice for the sake of poor women inspired me very much. He was the man of humanity besides a guide and philosopher to poor women to get empowerment/equality. My heart-felt condolences to Mrs. Cindi and family.

Roland was wonderfully helpful when the FWCC annual gathering was held in Little Rock. It was a joy to spend time with him. He convinced me that Right Sharing becoming an independent organization was a good thing. As a member of the executive committee I had a hard time with that decision.
