WILLIAM BUZICK Obituary

William was born in San Francisco to William A. Buzick Jr., and Mary Lee Buzick. He grew up in Hillsborough until his family relocated to Winnetka, a suburb of Chicago. William was strikingly handsome with a fearless spirit. He was known for his accomplishments as a Competitive Downhill Snow Skier, Water Skier, Dive Master, Photographer, Filmmaker and Rock Guitarist. William graduated from the New Trier West High School in Winnetka, the University of Colorado, the Art Center Pasadena, and the Los Angeles Film School. William also completed the curriculum of the Musicians Institute in 2000 while later in 2009 he earned his Licensure as a Realtor in the State of Hawaii. During his earlier life in Chicago, William established his athletic prowess by winning the Mid-West Regional Jr. Championship in Slalom Skiing. In Los Angeles he pursued his dream as a musician, a commercial photographer, as well as a filmmaker with his cutting edge feature film "No Rest For The Wicked." Beyond motion pictures, his passion for music led him to form several Rock Bands throughout his life to play both his originally composed music as well as popular and challenging rock covers. "Keep on Rocking" was a favorite mantra of William's and he enjoyed "living on the edge" a lifestyle which ultimately drew him to the big wave surfer's paradise of Hawaii's Sunset Beach. Pursuing his passion for surfing, skiing, and rock and roll, William lived the surfer's dream in Hawaii while also spending time with family and friends in Fresno, Ca. waterskiing and developing his company "Rock Straps" to produce custom one of a kind leather guitar straps. William's persona was larger than life and he will be dearly missed. His sudden passing was a shock to all. He died in his sleep, in the place he loved most, the North Shore of Hawaii. He is survived by his loving wife, Lori; and adoring sister, Bonnie; and his beloved dog Bella. A Ceremony is pending. For information please email to forwilliam @khwenterprizes.com

To William's family: My 85 year old mother and I read the obituaries in the Fresno Bee almost daily and without knowing William, his face caught her attention because of his beautiful eyes. We had her over to our house tonight for dinner and she insisted that we together read his obituary. We were both enchanted by his full life, one of many accomplishments and bringing joy to many. You are all so blessed to have had him in your lives and we both wish that we could have met him. Please know that death ends a life, but not a relationship, so you'll always have him near. Sincerely, The Brofman and Contreras Family in Fresno.
