Tuttle Arthur Walter Tuttle, age 95, of Columbus, OH, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Arthur was born in 1919 in Connecticut to the late James Walter and Yvonne Olive Tuttle. Art was an Army veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Arthur opened the Columbus office and retired as Managing Partner with Peat Marwick & Mitchell (KPMG). Arthur was a graduate of Indiana University and provided scholarships to IU students majoring in accounting. He was a long-time member of St. Andrew Parish and was the former treasurer of the Upper Arlington Civic Association. Art was a longtime member of Scioto Country Club. Art and Sheila traveled extensively upon his retirement, but most important to him was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Art will be remembered for his emphasis on strong family values, education and loving support. He was preceded in death by Sheila, his wife of 56 years and his sister, Shirley DiGioia. He is survived by his children, Mark (Celia) Tuttle, Tuscon, AZ, Susan (Skip) Blalock, Columbus, OH, Nancy Hale, North Ogden, UT, Steven Tuttle, Columbus, OH, David (Gina) Tuttle, Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Christopher Tuttle, Daniel Tuttle, Lauren Blalock, Alissa (Roark) Batchelor, Stephen Hall, Nathan (Holly) Hall, Brianna (Tyler) Firth, Jeremy Hale, Jonathan Hale, Samantha Tuttle, Kerri Tuttle, Sean (Becky) Tuttle and Zachary Tuttle; great-grandchildren, Oaks Hall, Gwen, Daphne, Joseph and Charlotte Batchelor. Friends may call Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5- p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd., Columbus, OH 43220. Father William DeVille, Celebrant. Art was a great mentor to me. He taught me the value of savings, travel, and spending time with family. He was a tough task master, but treated all people fairly and if he told you something he did not talk behind your back.
