Mrs. Myers- It was not until I received my bounced-back email from OSU that I found this posting. The email I was trying to get to your husband is below.

Professor Myers,

I hope this email finds its way to you. I have been googling all morning trying to find valid contact information. I made a post on facebook today that was a tribute to Texas A&M and you. I met my college roommate and very best friend in your American Lit class in the Fall of 2001. Angela Marin and I sat next to each other for almost a month without striking up a conversation until the tragedy of 9/11 struck. It was that day that you made our class of 400+ stand and pray together. It was something, at that time, that needed to be done. To me, it was your way of unifying students from various walks of life and religious beliefs. At the time I did not appreciate the significance of your choice to pray instead of discussing whatever book it was we were reading. Every anniversary of 9/11, I look back and become more and more proud that I was at Texas A&M and had a professor who was man enough to let us fall apart and rebuild together. I hold your decision to pray with us that day in the highest regard.

I just want to say thank you for being a man of honor and integrity. On 9/11/01, you exemplified what it means to be an Aggie!

Gig Em & God Bless!

I was lucky enough to meet David when our sons played baseball together. I feel even more fortunate to have had him for a class my last quarter at OSU. His love and commitment to his family, his faith, baseball, literature and critical thought continue to be an inspiration and example. This as a truly good man.
