1984 - 2014

Englewood, Colorado – John Curtis North, 30, died, Friday, July 25, 2014 at his residence in Englewood, CO. Mr. North was born July 17, 1984 in Tupelo, MS to Stephen E. North and Judith Riddle Drew. He attended Tupelo High School and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX with a bachelor's degree in psychology. John was an entrepreneur in sales and was self-employed. He was an avid reader and traveled over the U.S. in adventurous road trips visiting musical festivals. John loved people, his friends, and was full of life and lived life to its fullest. With his vivacious smile, John never met a stranger.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with an informal memorial service following at 7:30 p.m. A private graveside service will be at Mackey's Creek Church in Burton, MS at a later time.

Mr. North is survived by his mother, Judith Riddle Drew of Tupelo, his grandmother, Inez Riddle of Tishomingo, MS, his uncles: Mackie Riddle of Oxford, MS, Danny Riddle (Judy) of Willow Street, PA, Bill North of Raleigh, NC; John R. North, III (Jane) of Fairhope, AL, his aunt, Mary Katherine Smith (Danny) of Natchez, MS and nine cousins: Suzanne McGhee and Becky McCollough, both of Atlanta, GA, Tracy Emfinger of Mobile, AL, Julia Freeman of Natchez, Anna Foy of Houston, TX, and Dottie Massey of Oxford, Kris Riddle (Kamie) of Tupelo, Jeremy Riddle (Tracie) and Michael (Keleigh) of Oxford. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen E. North and his grandparents, Dorothy North Way, John Rexford North, Jr., and Curtis Riddle.
