Charles Edward Connally
Charles Edward Connally, age 79 of Antioch, TN, formerly of Lawton, OK, died Saturday, February 16, 2013.
A native of Carter, OK, he was preceded in death by his parents, Henry G. Connally and Susie Berry Connally. He is also preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Milton Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Connally is survived by his wife, Shelbie Jean Connally; daughter, Charlotte Oates and her husband James of Lawton, OK; son, Monte Connally of El Reno, OK; stepsons, Franklin Brooks of Oregon, and Spencer Brooks and his wife Angela of Smyrna; sister, Mary Jean Johnson of Amarillo, TX; ten grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Connally was a member of LaVergne First Baptist Church and was retired from the Lawton Oklahoma Police Department. He drove on short tracks in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas, and was an avid stock car racing fan.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.

Jean, I regret hearing of Charlie's passing. The two of you were very inspirational to me and I wish we could have spent more time together. Please know he will be missed but thought of frequently in my memories.
