Gertrude "Trudy" Dorothy Alexander

Gertrude "Trudy" Dorothy Alexander, age 76, of Murfreesboro, passed away on November 18, 2012 at her residence. She was a native of Portland, IN and lived in Rutherford County for the past 48 years.

Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, James "Bud" Screeton and Dorothy Gunther Screeton; one son, James Allen Alexander.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra ( Kenneth) Raymer of Murfreesboro and Sue Smith also of Murfreesboro; three sisters, Rita Darrough of Indiana, Rosemary Huber of Illinois and Suzanne (Jack) Gettingher of Indiana; four grandchildren, Amanda (Chad) Kay Grotegut, Amanda Nichole Raymer, Tyler Raymer and Ally Smith.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Jennings & Ayers with Eric Hines officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradley's Creek Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home, 820 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, TN, 615-893-2422
