Beatrice Carmene Davenport Kelton

Beatrice Carmene Davenport Kelton, age 87 of Tullahoma, TN, formerly of Murfreesboro, passed from this life on November 22, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late William and Berlie Bogle Davenport. She was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Truman Davenport, Grady Melton, Ray Davenport, Haskell Davenport, Mildred Cook, Evelyn Bogle, Oakley Davenport and Vergie Mae Fann, and grandchild, Jessica Kelton.

Beatrice was a God fearing woman, a member of the Church of Christ, who faced her life challenges with determination, strength and courage. Her inner strength was an inspiration to all who loved and knew her. She dearly loved her family and had a special relationship with her oldest son, Lee Don, who cared for her. She enjoyed a hard day's work and was always willing to sacrifice in order to give to others.

She is survived by her children, Lee Don and Wanda Kelton of Rockvale, Jack and Kathy Kelton of Murfreesboro, Jimmie Lynn and Dianne Kelton of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Angie King, Amy Simpson, Jennifer Hendrix, Kristy Odom, Jason Neely, Candice Northcutt, Christopher Davis, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro. Stephen King will officiate. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro (615) 893-5151; www.woodfinchapel.com
