Neil Parrish "Parry" Lancaster

Murfreesboro - Neil Parrish "Parry" Lancaster, age 61, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Montgomery, AL but has lived all of his life in Rutherford County. He graduated from Oakland High School and received a bachelor's degree in communication from Middle Tennessee State University. He was a member of the PI Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was Vice President of sales at All Van Trucking, was the owner and operator of Wholesale Tops Company and was most recently a maintenance supervisor of Davidson Metro Schools. Parry will always be remembered for his dry wit, keen intellect, his love of animals, his unwavering commitment to his family and his generous heart. He was diligent and hard working in all the tasks he faced in life and lived by an honest creed. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Parry was preceded in death by his parents; Neil Parrish JR. and Nell McDonald Lancaster. He is survived by his wife, Libby Lancaster, sons; Austin Lancaster and Tanner Lancaster, sister, Penny Mitchell and husband Buddy and mother-in-law, Katie Thompson.

A private graveside service will be held for Parry on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4:00P.M. until 6:00P.M. at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home; 820 South Church St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Libby and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Parry was a great man and I thought very highly of him. I am one of his workers for gca. He taught me a lot in this company and was like a father figure to me. I remember he would call just to talk about problems we are having at work or the crazy stories that happened at home and I am just at a loss of words. Such a great man gone too soon. May his dear soul rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Parry's passing. He and I were schoolmates in Murfreesboro from first grade thru high school graduation. He was always smiling, always pleasant to be around. Hadn't seen him in years, but when I heard of his passing, my heart just dropped. Parry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Sending prayers to his friends and family during this difficult time.

Penny and family I am so sorry to read of Parry's passing. I worked at the School Board with your mother. You, Perry and your family were her pride and joy. Perry was a fun loving person and loved to mess with your mom. He is with your Mama and Daddy now. Boy are they getting into trouble. I will be praying for you and your family in the days ahead.
