Joann Wright Pate

Joann Wright Pate, age 79 of Smyrna, TN, June 27, 2014.

Preceded in death by husband, Thomas Eugene Pate; parents, Herman & Frances Powell; son-in-law, Lonnie Chitwood. She was a member of Stewarts Creek Church of Christ and retired from Metro Schools and Rutherford County Schools.

She is survived by children, Doug (Tricia) Pate, Jean Chitwood & Larry (Susan) Pate; grandchildren, Brian (Gina) Pate, Dawn (Mark) Rush, Jason (Emily) Pate, Kimberly (Patrick) Schorn, Jennifer & Chad Nevils & Nikki Houston; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Walter Earl (Roseann) Wright; sister-in-law, Eva (Sandy) Bennett.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, June 30, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road.

Leaving the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in procession for Graveside services to be conducted at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery by Allen Vick. Active Pallbearers: Brian Pate, Tanner Pate, Jason Pate, Mark Rush, Tyler Rush & Patrick Schorn. Honorary Pallbearers: Sanford Bennett, Jeff Pate & Pierre Perea.
