William Alvin Frost

William Alvin Frost, age 85 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Saturday, November 3, 2012.

A native of Rockvale, he was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Nan Holton Frost; his brother, Ernest Ray Frost and his sister, Jean Marie Toombs.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, with his son-in-law, Brother Darrel Whaley, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Frost is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Emily Jean Reed Frost; daughters, Brenda Woodson and her husband James of Murfreesboro, Judy Whaley and her husband Darrel of Milton, Rita Lynch and her husband Bill of Nashville, Debbie Brooks and her husband Ron of Lynchburg, Terri Hale and her husband Allen of Murfreesboro, and Pam Brickey and her husband Curtis of Murfreesboro; brothers, Carl Frost and his wife Diane of Rockvale, Don Frost and his wife Barbara of Hendersonville, and John Frost of Murfreesboro; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Frost was a member of Patterson Baptist Church and was retired with Avco. He was an original member and co-founder of the Frost Brothers Gospel Quartet who were nominated for a Grammy Award by the Gospel Music Association. Mr. Frost enjoyed playing cards with his sons-in-law, yard working, and crossword puzzles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Frost's sons-in-law and grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.

Memorials can be made to Kingdom Ministries and to Patterson Baptist Church.
