Flora Lawson Obituary
Flora Mae "Tootie" Coffee Lawson, age, 88 of Murfreesboro, TN, went home Tuesday August 5, 2014.
A native of Jackson, County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alta Scott Coffee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Lawson and also her long-time companion, Paul Frame.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by her daughter, Connie Lawson Katimi and her husband Joe of Murfreesboro, TN; step-daughter, Sheila Tilford of Lascassas, TN; granddaughters, Carly Johnson Spence and Cayla Johnson Collier, both of Murfreesboro, TN; step-grandchildren, Jenny Tilford of Durham, NC, John Daniel and Will Tilford, both of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Devin, Chloe, and Kylie Spence, Avontae and Kendra Collier, and Anthony Evans; step-great-grandchildren, Aidan and Colin Tilford.
A Memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Dave Bauder officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4p.m., two hours prior to service.
Mrs. Lawson was the best granny in the whole world. She loved her grand kids "her babies", and loved to shop, loved yard sales, and antiques. Mrs. Lawson was young at heart, and celebrated her 82nd birthday at Chuck E Cheese. She was a believer in Christ and a devoted homemaker.

I became acquainted withTootie in October of 2013 when my mother-in-law became her roommate at Park View Meadows. I liked her immediately and always looked forward to seeing her when I came to visit. She had so much spunk and wit. I can only imagine how much fun she was to be around when she was younger. I will miss her but rejoice that she is now in her eternal home with our Heavenly Father.
