Obituary

On November 13, 2018 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, Bobbie Terese Lee entered eternal life. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, she was born to the late Manuel Ike Lee III and Evelyn Johnson Lee. Bobbie was a 1984 graduate of Walter L Cohen High School. She worked as a health care professional in New Orleans and Donaldsonville, Louisiana as a foster care mother to numerous foster care children.
In 2005, Bobbie relocated with her family to San Antonio, Texas. She was the former wife of Lionel James of Donaldsonville, Louisiana and the mother of Courtland J. James and Makayla A. Sister of Manuel I. Lee IV and Shawn P. Lee (San Antonio, Texas), Jerrilyn Lee Dominio (John). Survived by her nephews; Jamie M. Lee and Walter R. Smith, Nieces; Jada, Jenise, Willow, Cierra. Aunts: Ruby Lee, Barbra A. Lee, Vera D. Mackey, Theresa Mallory and Catherine Davis. Also survived by uncles: James Johnson Jr., Henry "Hank" Davis, Charles Davis and Wallace Lee. Cousins: Joseph Stewart Jr. and Mysheka Sprage and best friends: Gail and Her Facebook friends; Godchild; Amber.
She is preceded in death by her father: Manuel Ike Lee III, Stepfather: Dr. A. Watkins Sr., Grandmothers: Amelia "BaBa" Johnson, Effie Lee, Evelyn Jones and Irma Davis. Grandfathers: Manuel "Buddy-boy" Lee, James Johnson Sr., Philip Davis Sr., Aunts: Loreta Stewart, Susan C. Wilkerson, Shirley A. Lee, Former Mother & Father-in-Law Robert & Ella James Sr.
Numerous Relatives and Friends & Employees of the U.S. Dept. of Interior/MMS- Elmwood Parl (NOLA) Naval Air Staion (Belle Chase La.); St. John the Baptist Parish School Bd. (Reserve, La.); La Health and Science (NOLA) University of N.O., Hiram United Soverign Grand Lodge, Nykali Soverign Grand Chapter. OES. Walter L Cohen High School Alumi (NOLA) and Donaldsonville Nursing Home, are all invited to attend the viewing at Bell & Bell Funeral Home, 6867 Montgomery Dr. San Antonio, Texas 78239, Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. followed by funeral at Brazier – Watson Funeral Home, 623 Railroad Avenue. Donaldsonville, LA. Rev. Creal James Sr. Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, New Orleans, La., officiating.
Interment will be at Protestant Cemetery in Donaldsonville, La.
