Email obituaries to
[email protected]and reference which of our six publications you wish to publish the obituary.
Obituaries must be paid in full prior to publication for anyone who does not have a customer account with the Dover Post. If submission does not come directly from a funeral home, we require either a certificate of death to accompany the submission or a funeral home to contact for verification of the deceased. The pricing structure works as follows:
Death Notice:
Up to 50 words: $25
Obituary:
51 to 100 words: $50
101 to 200 words: $100
201 to 300 words: $150
301 to 400 words: $200
Plus $35 for photo
Plus $25 for each additional 50 words over 400
After submission, you will receive a proof and price for the obituary. If
prepayment is required, the obituary will not run if it remains unpaid

** The deadline for submission in an issue during a holiday week may be
earlier. Please contact the newspaper directly if you are submitting an
obituary during a holiday week
