Agnes A. Tommaro, 90, of Eveleth died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 at Mercy Health Care Center in Moose Lake, Minn. She was born on May 21, 1916 in Eveleth, Minn., to Domenic and Neza (Agnes) Govze Blatnik. Following the death of her mother, Agnes went to live with the Louis and Anna Govze family. She graduated from Eveleth High School, Eveleth Junior College and the Minneapolis School of Cosmetology. She was married to Carl 'Gully' Tommaro on Jan. 13, 1940 in Eveleth. Agnes was a homemaker and worked as a beautician for friends and neighbors. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, the Eveleth Garden Club and K.S.K.J. Lodge 59. She was an excellent seamstress, wonderful cook, enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other people's babies; especially in her later life. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Dominic Blatnik and extended family. She is survived by her children, Marie Danelski of Sturgeon Lake, Minn., Merilyn Tommaro of Dubuque, Iowa, Marguerite (Jeff) Fraboni of Duluth, and Michael (Stephanie) Tommaro of Eveleth, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the former Arrowhead Health Care Center in Eveleth and to Mercy Health Care Center in Moose Lake for the excellent care given to Agnes. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 in Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth. Fr. Joel Hastings will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church.
