Troy E. Lind

Troy E. Lind was born April 15, 1962, in Oakland, Calif., to John and Leatrice (Petite) Lind. He was welcomed back into God's arms on the day of his birth, 41 years later. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Troy enjoyed helping people out, fishing, pool, snowmobiling with his girls, gambling, darts, and karaoke. He was a certified mechanic by trade. He also worked at Black Bear Casino in the security department for 4 years. Troy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Teri Lind; brothers Kevin (Linda) Lind, and Keith (Cindy) Lind both of Cloquet, Boochie Lind of Carlton, Mike Lind of Saginaw, and Kim (Faye) Lind of Indiana; one sister Loretta (Scott) Erickson of Cloquet; daughters Tiffany of Duluth, Kaylee, Keshia and Mika all of Cloquet, and Clarissa of Saginaw; sons Travis and Cody Hackensmith of Minneapolis, and Jagger Lind of Cloquet; father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Roberta Olson of Cloquet; sisters-in-law Krista Olson and Stephanie (Gary) Gatewood all of Cloquet; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He will be sadly missed by a special friend, 'Chewy'. VISITATION:6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2003, in Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003 also in Nelson Funeral Care with Deacon Terry Twomey officiating. Interment services will be at New Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Clark, David Clark, Josh Lind, Keith Lind Jr., Brian Lind, Louie Houle, James Couture and Tom Getchell. Luncheon will follow at the FDL Reservation ENP Center. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
