Rayma Kay Weedn July 22, 1938 — Dec. 31, 2009Rayma Kay Weedn, 71, of Duncan, went to be the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, after a long battle with cancer.She was a very devoted mom, grandma and great-grandma, who loved giving her life and service to others. She believed in helping anybody less fortunate and gave to many charitable organizations.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chad Tingley officiating.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 t0 3 p.m. today. Born Friday, July 22, 1938, in Duncan, she was the daughter of Hugh P. and Edith Meier Chisholm. She married Dr. Dwight Weedn on Jan. 26, 1981, in Duncan. He preceded her in death in 2000.Kay worked as a nurse for 23 years for Dr. Dwight Weedn and other doctors, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church.Survivors include her son, Randall Lee Wilson, of Duncan; two, daughters: Lisa Kay and husband, Dr. Tim Dylina, of Merced, Calif., and Patricia Ann and husband, David Derrick, of Ellerslie, Ga.; a brother, Jack Chisholm, of Duncan; eight grandchildren: Brian Derek Wilson and wife, Robbie, Clay Tyler Wilson, Mitch Kolton Wilson, Robert Dylina, Elizabeth R. Tingley and husband, Chad, Justin K. Lindsey and wife, Chelci, David H. Derrick IV, and Christi Derrick; and two great-grandchildren: Caylei and Jake.She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eloise Forker. Bearers will be her grandsons.
