Linda Sue Moore Blanton was born on February 9, 1956 in Weisbaden, Germany to Bobby Joe (B.J.) and Irene Chalk Moore. She passed from this earthly life on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the age of 61 years, one month and 28 days at her home in Durant, Oklahoma.
Linda attended the University of Texas at Austin from 1974-1976. She graduated from SOSU in 1982 with a Bachelor's degree in Science and in 1993 from SOSU with a Master's degree in Psychology. She is a member of The Durant Chapter 17 Eastern Star and a member of the First Baptist Church, Durant, OK.
Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Lindsey M. Blanton 2013; husband, Kendall Blanton 2006; father, B.J. Moore 2002; infant sister, Evelyn Kay Moore 1953; mother in law, Martha Fralicks Wright 2012; grandparents, Russell and Ethel Chalk and P.O. (Buck) and Bessie Moore.
Linda is survived by her loving mother and best friend, Irene Chalk Moore of the home; aunts, Helen Gray and Phyllis Eggenberg; aunts and uncles Betty and Joe Colclazier, Ralph and Mary Chalk, Mike and Marti Chalk and Ray Carr and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
Services to celebrate Linda's life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Durant, OK with Pastor James Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Robert Burns, Ronnie Burns, Mike Gray, Phillip Eggenberg, Russell Eggenberg, Ricky Eggenberg and Rick Chalk serving as pallbearers. Linda's body will lie in state at the home 4812 W. University Durant, OK.

I am saddened to hear of Linda's passing. We were close college friends. I hold many fond memories of times we spent together. Prayers for her Mother and family during this difficult time May God bless & hold you in his arms.
