Loving father of George of Newmarket, John (Stacey) of Barrie and predeceased by son Bob (Judy). Beloved grandfather of Taylor, Katelyn and adored great grandfather of Zoey. He is survived by his brothers Gerald and Maurice. Al will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many great friends and neighbours. There will be a few less divots on the golf course.

It's been said that you can tell a man's character by the way he plays golf. Al (and Joan of course) were my partners for many years, and he was always fun, encouraging, and humorous on the course, and afterwards during our social times following our rounds. He was also a good golfer, even tempered, and able to keep the game and life in perspective. He and Joan made a great team and I'll miss him a lot.

Joan - my condolences to you and your family. I was saddened to hear of Al passing. I have very fond memories of playing euchre at the legion. I always got a chuckle how Al would typically say very little about the card play, but then his expression would change just enough to say a lot! He was always a respectful player and a very kind gentleman. Much love to you.
