Carole Lorraine (Ashenhurst) REDSHAW Obituary
Passed away peacefully in her home in Uxbridge, in her 82nd year. Carole was predeceased by her husband Alan (1994). Loving mom to Lori (Ken Hope), Louise (Phil Brown) and Leanne (Ron Woolhead). Cherished grandma of Karrie (Brandon), Kyle (Kyla), Nathan, Cassidy, Sydney and Shawn. Carole will be dearly missed by best friend Clare McGuckin. Fondly remembered by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by parents Corless and Phyllis Ashenhurst and brothers, Roger and Bob. Carole moved from Claremont to Uxbridge in 2007. While making new friends, she always maintained a strong bond with the Claremont Community. She taught at Claremont Public School for many years until she retired in 1990. She was involved in many organizations including the Lioness Club, Ladies Auxiliary, United Church, Seniors' Clubs, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #483. Carole was also the proud recipient of the City of Pickering Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 and the CLSPL Dedication to the League Award in 2018. Carole was best known for her incredible piano playing at countless concerts and sing-alongs. She will be greatly missed by the many friends she made along the way. Special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Wilson, relatives, friends and the medical professionals who helped her immensely throughout this difficult time. A celebration of Carole's Life will be held at a later date with details to follow. Arrangements entrusted to the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905-852-3073).
