Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at 99 years of age. Edward served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII as air crew with No. 6 Canadian Bomber Group and completed 33 operations on enemy targets. He was employed for 40 years with General Motors prior to his retirement in 1982. He is predeceased by his wife, Betty Eleanor Mills and survived by his daughter, Susan, his nephews, Carlo (Norma) Giovanella, Ed (Wendy) Giovanella, and nieces Carol Broddy (Wyoming) and Lana Shelden (Florida). As per Edwards request, there will be no visitation or service. Private cremation and interment to follow. I am very saddened to learn of your fathers passing from my sister today.
I know that our parents were friends since the 1940's and mom appreciated the many visits with your dad more recently.
