Richard Larsen

Richard C. Larsen, 66, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 in Cedar City, Utah.

He was the third of five children born to Willis E. and Jaunita C. Larsen. He was born in Provo, Utah on July 16, 1947. He spent his childhood in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He loved playing on his grandfather's farm when he was a child and loved the outdoors. He always looked forward to the family hunting camps in the fall with his father, brothers, uncles and cousins in Schofield, UT. His love of hunting and camping remained throughout his life.

He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1965 and went to work for Geneva Steel until becoming an engineer for Mountain Bell. He was transferred by Mnt. Bell to Cedar City in 1972 where he remained until his death.

He coached little league for several years and always attending his own kids' activities. Later in life, he enjoyed taking many trips to Hawaii with his wife, Sherry.

His 5 grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved spending time with them as often as possible.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sherry, Children; Tracy (Tiffany) Swenson, Chad Larsen, Tim (Mikel) Larsen, Melissa (Rhett) Butler, step daughter, Kim (Craig) Stephens and grandchildren; Andy, Amy, Wyatt, Kason and Madison.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Linda (Jay) Hammond, Kent (Sandy) Larsen, Trudy (Brian) Clark, Dean (Pat) Larsen and many nieces and nephews.
