SARASOTA, Fla. — Alberta M. Smith, formerly of Andover, died Friday, May 23, 2008 in Sarasota.
Alberta was born in Columbia, Pa. on Sept. 25, 1910, the daughter of Noah and Elizabeth Reese.
She was married for over 50 years to the late Raymond F. Smith who predeceased her in 1988. She was also predeceased in late 2007 by her son, Robert Smith.
Alberta worked for many years as a private cook for families on the Philadelphia Main Line and in the suburbs of Boston.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia and her husband Anthony of Andover, along with her daughter-in-law, Barbara W. Smith of Maryland. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Pamela L. Smith, Robert W. Smith and wife Grace, all of Maryland, Bryan T. Olender and wife Amy of Boston and Jeffery M. Olender and wife Katherine of Riverview, Fla. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Zachary and Amelia Smith.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will take place at St. Robert Bellarimine Parish, 198 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover, on June 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or St. Robert Bellarmine Parish.
