Our beloved Richard (Rick) Vera passed away Oct. 21, after a brief illness. Born May 12, 1955 in Alameda, CA, he attended Jefferson and Fremont Schools in Oakland. He was a former employee of Livermore Lab for many years. A Giant's and A's fan. Richard is predeceased by his father, Juan and sister, Victoria Vera. He is survived by his mother, Jovita Duarte Vera, brothers, Daniel, Manuel, Johnny (Connie), nephews, D.J. Vera (June), Christopher Vera (Jennifer), Great-nephews, Anthony, Dominic, Great-niece, Victoria, Mack, Colton, and Wyatt, aunts, Marcelina Sandoval, Nellie Buttons and many cousins. Services will be held in Arbuckle, CA., Thursday, Oct. 27, at 10:00am, Holy Cross Church, 408 Laurel St, 95912. In lieu of flowers, family request make donations to RES Success, 704 Main St., Martinez, Ca. 94553, 925-229-8229, Tax ID # 94-3185529, or a charity of your choice.
