John Connolly Obituary

John Patrick Connolly was granted peace last week as he moved on to his final resting place in Heaven. John will forever be remembered for his kindness, smile, intelligence, wit, and drive; love of Irish heritage, music, history, conversation and community; and most notably, his deep love for family and friends.
John was born and grew up in Walnut Creek, CA. He attended Christ the King School in Pleasant Hill and moved on to De La Salle High School in Concord. He was a proud Spartan and member of the DLS Football Team. In adulthood, he continued his commitment to the brotherhood by serving on the De La Salle Alumni Board. John earned a Political Science Degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and was the President of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He furthered his studies earning a J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. John went on to become an accomplished corporate finance attorney, first as an associate and then partner in respected San Francisco Bay Area firms.
John is survived by his beloved daughter, Addison and her mother, Ani; his loving and devoted parents, John (Jack) and Maryann Connolly of Walnut Creek; his sister, Rosie Homes, brother-in-law Nick Homes, and niece, Lila Homes of Danville. He is also survived by his aunt, Sally Dean of Martinez, and uncle, Terrence Connolly of Garnerville, New York, plus an extended family and community of loved ones.
