JOHNSON
November 9, 1955 - December 12, 2006
Passed away suddenly in Castro Valley on December 12, 2006.
Gregg was born in Duluth, Minnesota to Rollen (Bud) and Carol Johnson. The family moved to California in 1963. He was graduated from Granada High school in Livermore. He was employed by Cal Trans, Department of General Services in Oakland, California.
He enjoyed reading and collecting gemstones and baseball cards. He was a good Samaritan to anyone and everyone who needed help. Gregg will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Johnson of Penn Valley, California; brother Jeffrey and sister-in-law Cathy of Oakdale, California; brother Randy and sister-in-law Lisa of Phoenix, Arizona; sister Deborah Johnson of Chico, California; sister Susan Harrigan and brother-in-law Daniel of Las Vegas, Nevada; and sister Cathy Harmon and brother-in-law Rockne of Alameda, California. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Gregg was preceded in death by his father, Rollen Charles Johnson, in 1992.
Interment will be at Oneota Cemetery, Duluth, Minnesota.

Gregg was a great guy. We often spoke about baseball or some project he was involved with, either in the office of otherwise. Gregg was always upbeat and friendly. He was proud of his work and his family. He will be greatly missed.

We are all shocked and saddened to hear of Gregg's passing. Naturally, he stood out and he was known by a great many here in the building. We will all miss him.
