Allison Rouse Obituary

ALLISON M. ROUSE Retired Associate Justice of The California Court of Appeal died Friday December 16, 2005. Judge Rouse is the loving husband of Dorothy B. Rouse and half brother of William Beuttler, brother-in-law of Beatrice Konda. Resident of Redwood City since 1952. Graduate of The University of San Francisco; Juris Doctorate , U.S.F. School of Law. Entered private law practice 1949. Deputy District Attorney, San Mateo, and Senior Trial Attorney through 1967. Served as Superior Court San Mateo County Judge 1967-1971 when he was elevated by then Governor Reagan October 19, 1971 to Associate Justice California Court of Appeal. Retired in 1988. Thereafter engaged in private arbitration and mediation. Member California Judges Association, American Judicature Society, American Bar Association, and Commonwealth Club of California, where he served on the board of governors. A native of Visalia, California, U.S. Army WWII Veteran retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Funeral Services are scheduled 10:00 am Wednesday December 21, 2005 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Fulton at James Avenue, Redwood City and a vigil service 7:00pm Tuesday December 20, 2005 at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City. I worked with & for Judge Rouse as a Probation Officer for over 20 years and have never met a gentleman as understanding and fair as The MAN..We feel honered to have had a friend as warm and loving as the Honorable Judge Rouse.
