Dorcus Pamahoa Napoleon Kahuanui "Dodo" July 6, 1928 - Sept. 6, 2007 Passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2007. Born in 1928 to Walter K. and Katherine Napoleon in territory of Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Daniel "Kaniela." Survived by her children, Richard Coleman, Ruth "Babbie" Lewis, Robert Jr., (Cyndi) Frances Kahuanui Johnson (Dale) and Jo Kahuanui (Rick Holgerson); grandchildren, Roberta (Rob) Silva, Heather Coleman, Robert (Amy) Lewis, Laura and Danny Vargas, Napua and Makana Holgerson, Courteney Steele, Keahu, Kaniela, Kapena and Kauakahi Kahuanui, and Kaleo Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Angelica and Katie Silva, and Hannah and Noah Lewis. Survived by her devoted sister, Naomi Weight; her husband, Ed; and her brother, Barry Napoleon. She is also survived by many family members both here and in Hawaii - too many to list, but all her favorites. Dodo attended Roosevelt High School in Hawaii. She moved to Alameda, CA, in 1951 where she met and married Robert Kahuanui. She was very active in her children's lives. She volunteered at Haight Elementary, was a Booster for Pop Warner Football in Alameda, and high school football. She worked for years as a florist in San Francisco and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And she loved to play bingo. Visitation will take place Friday, Sept. 14th from 4:30-6 p.m. with Services following at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1201 Grand St., Alameda.
