EDWARD 'GWEN' ARAUJO, JR. Of Newark entered into rest Thursday, October 3, 2002. Loving son to Sylvia Guerrero of Newark and Edward Araujo of Brawley. Cherished brother to Pearl and Jesus Serrano of CA, Rachel Araujo of Bakersfield, Brandon Guerrero-Bacot of Newark and Michael West of Newark. Beloved grandson to Angel and Helen Araujo of Brawley, Jose and Maria Guerrero of Stockton. Dear step-son to Lawrence West of Texas, John Fuller III of Newark and Nicholas Luna of Union City. Devoted uncle to Arianna and Isabella Serrano and Elixus Samripas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Born February 24, 1985 in Brawley, California. Age 17. Eddie was a beautiful person both inside and out. He was always the life of the party, making people laugh. Magics in the Makeup By: No Doubt, Gwen Stefani Can you tell I'm faking it? But I want to be myself. A counterfeit disposition can't be good for my health. So many different faces, depending on the different phases. My personality changes, I'm a chameleon. There's more than one dimension, I can fool you and attract attention. Camouflage my nature, let me demonstrate. My makeup's all off, who am I? Magic's in the makeup. Who am I? If you bore me, then I'm comfortable, if you interest me, I'm scared. My attraction paralyzes me, No courage to show my true colors that exist but I want to be the real thing. But if you catch my eye, can't be authentic. The one's I loathe are the one's that know me the best. My makeup's all off. Who am I? The magic's in the makeup, Who am I? The makeup's all off, Who am I? If the the magic's in the makeup, then who am I? Magic's in the makeup, but I want to be the real thing, but the magic's in the makeup, and I want to be the real thing, my makeup's all off, Who am I? A private service will be held. All my concents to everyone who feels the sorrow for this great loss especiall to the entire family. My brother was good friends with Eddie they would hang out and I was friends with Pearl back in school days and met Eddie a couple of times. He was so sweet. And will be missed by everyone even those who did not know him personally. I have a lot of respect for Eddie for being strong and being himself. I also work for Wild 949 and our morning show as well as the station itself truly felt the loss of Eddie Gwen. I work along with Victor Zaragoza on the Sunday night oldies and gave out a lot of love to Eddie because that is what he deserves love. Once again sending my condolences, stay strong for Eddie because he would want you to stand up for what he stood up for, himself.

I never knew Gwen or her family, but I have an online friend who lives in the area and told us about her so very untimely and heartbreaking death.

I want to cry from grief that such a thing has happened and from awe at the strong, shining love of the family of Gwen, Eddie, however each of you holds her or him in your heart. I send my respect and condolences.

I did not know you, but you touched my heart in a way that very few people can. As a long-time resident of Newark, I can say that what happened to you both angered/and hurt me greatly. I only hope that your suffering will benefit others in the future who experience the same type of unnecessary pain. I hope that the residents of the city of Newark (along with everyone else) will make this a life's lesson and learn not to turn away from hate, but rather speak out against it and put an end to this violence before another innocent life is taken from their beloved family, without so much as a good-bye. So now, I will say Good-Bye to you "Gwen". I will always remember you in my heart and prayers. Your funeral was just the beginning for me. Now's my chance to get to know you, and help put up the fight you never had the chance to win.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS
AND
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE

Love Always,

my deepest heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your love one. It brought me to tears when I heard of the way she was stolen from all of your lives. Gwen is absolutely beautiful and and I could imagine the beauty she would radiate being in her presence. I hope you all find peace in your thoughts and prayers and memories of your time with Gwen in your life and continue to keep that close to your hearts.

Dearest family of Gwen:

We didn't know your sweet baby, but her life has touched our hearts. May she now know peace and the freedom to be who she is. We will never forget her beautiful face - nor will we give up the fight for all of us to live our lives being true to ourselves. I would have liked to have met this beautiful person, and the wonderful family who supported and loved her for who she was.

Peace to you all,

Thank you to Gwen, for her courage, which even a person who did not know her can see and feel. And also sympathy and a heartfelt thank you to Gwen's mother, who loves Gwen enough to see that she is being honored and also laid to rest as this young person would have wanted; beautiful, fabulous, and adored, as Gwen. Let no other person ever suffer this way; move in love.

My condolences to the family and also my thanks for so publicly accepting and loving Eddie for who he was. Doing so provides great comfort to so many and is a tribute to Eddie himself. He was more brave than most will ever be..his only "crime" was seeking to live an authentic life.

For Edward "Gwen" Araujo, Jr.
I don't know you, but I love you. I love the fact that you stood your ground and showed the world who you truly were. Though your life was much too short, I know you have helped other people, both young and old, stand for who they are as well. You made the world a better place by your tragic sacrifice. You will be missed.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Gwen was a courageous person that lived her truth.Even in her death, she has brought awareness and unity. What a beautiful person you were honored with to have as your child/relative.
Gwen is free to be who she is without prejudice and free from harm. Her spirit lives on forever.
May the spirits surround her and the hands of the creator cradle her soul.
Bless you all,

To: Eddie "Gwen" May you rest in peace for now you are free to be who you wanna be. You were a great person although i didnt know you very well. We met when you attended American High School you were a freshman and i was a senior we had keyboarding together and you were the one that kept me going in that class. We sat right next to each other and I truely enjoyed your presence. I remember our talks about you going to the clubs and what not. You will be missed. You didnt deserve this and i will pray for you and your family. Nobody deserves to go through what you had to endure. God Bless you and until we meet again one love Veronica
