Geraldine Packard Obituary

Geraldine M. Packard
April 19, 1931-Aug. 5, 2017
Richmond
Geraldine (Geri) M. Packard, a long time Bay Area resident, died peacefully on Saturday August 5, 2017.
Geraldine, daughter of Frank and Mary Zell, was born in Minnesota on April 19, 1931. Geri's family moved from Minnesota to Montana, and eventually settled in Oregon. She attended Reed College in Portland where she graduated with her Bachelor's degree.
Geri was a beloved school teacher and librarian who served the communities of Cupertino and Alameda for over twenty years. She married Bob Packard on August 20, 1964 and later moved to Richmond where they resided for over thirty years. Geri loved to socialize, read books, and adored traveling. Geri was not only extremely kind and considerate but also exuded grandeur through her manners and sweet personality.

Not knowing Mrs. Packard personally, I will always be grateful for her generous donation to the students at Contra Costa College. My condolences to her family and friends, but I hope you find comfort in knowing her generous donation will keep her in our memories for many years to come. God bless
