Jerome Joseph Dix

Jerome Joseph Dix, age 67, died unexpectedly on January 5, 2016. He was born in Oakland on December 29, 1948 to Jerome and Della Dix, the oldest of seven children.
Jerome attended school in Concord, California. He graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School in 1967 where he played football and was on the wrestling team. He was also a ham radio operator. Jerome attended Diablo Valley College and later served in the US Navy as a radioman.
Jerome was a self- employed electrical contractor and owner of Dix Electric. He owned a vineyard in Mendocino County since 1988 and he was a Master Gardner since 1991.
Jerome was a proponent of natural resource management in Mendocino County. He served on the Russian River Watershed Council Board of Directors and was a past president. He served as director on the Mendocino Resource Conservation District since 2003, and was the board chair for 2014-2015.
Jerome was predeceased by his mother and sister, Annette. He will be deeply missed by his wife Duane (Dee). He is survived by his father, three sisters, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
A military funeral will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA on January 28th at 1PM. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association
