PRISCILLA "BABY" WILLIAMS October 27, 1906 - June 22, 2002 Born on an eighty-acre farm in Texarkana, Arkansas, October 27, 1906, Priscilla "Baby" Williams, age 95, serenely entered into rest after a brief illness at her Oakland home, on Saturday, June 22, 2002. In 1925, she married Mr. Charlie Williams of Texarkana and remained a devoted wife until 1989 when they were physically parted by his death. Texarkana (always called home) was her place of residence until 1996 when she moved to Oakland to help care for her only child, Corinne Bradshaw, who predeceased her in June of 2000. As an avid churchgoer, "Baby" asked God to take over her living every day of her life. She maintained a welcoming living space, open to everyone, and as warm as her heart she passionately nurtured her family, imparting sage advice for the generations who follow her. Her most recent losses include her adored sister Mrs.Mozelle Young, and her beloved son-in-law, Mr. Arthur L. Bradshaw(2001). Surviving her, are six grandchildren, constantly in her prayers; Lynda (Bradshaw) Drummer, Charles Bradshaw, Ray Bradshaw, Myra Bradley, Veda Washington, and Kirby Bradshaw. A dearly loved son-in-law , chief Leon M. Drummer, a precious niece, Mrs.Eddye Slate, of St. Louis, Missouri, a nephew, Mr. Walter Doles of Texarkana, Arkansas, eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, 11:00 AM July 3, 2002, at McNary-Morgan-Engle & Jackson's Mortuary, 3630 Telegraph Avenue Oakland. Family and friends may attend a viewing on Tuesday, July 2, between 1:00 and 5:00 PM. Those who mourn her loss may find comfort in her words. Don't worry about me, she said, "For I am a child of God."
